"For Ever"

In English, "forever" is sometimes intended to mean an infinite amount of time, and sometimes not. So it is reasonable to ask how long a time is indicated by the biblical words and phrases translated as "forever," "eternal," "everlasting," and the like.

And the answer is:

Usually they indicate a time period of tens or hundreds of years.
